BLACK BIRDS ENTERTAINMENT
Toronto-based Black Birds Entertainment (formerly Corvid Pictures) produces media combining the talents of partners Sarah Timmins and Craig David Wallace with Canadian and international partners.
Their animated feature length film TODD & THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL: THE END OF THE END was released theatrically in Fall 2017 in Canada and at Screamfest LA. The film continues the stories of the two seasons of the live-action supernatural comedy series TODD & THE BOOK OF PURE EVIL.
The series aired internationally (Space - Canada, Fearnet US, SyFy UK, Germany, Russia, Australia) and garnered multiple award nominations and wins. It was the first TV series to be featured at the SXSW Film Festival.
In late 2022, Black Birds Entertainment pitched the comedy-drama series They Drive at Night as a finalist in the International Drama Series Pitch Competition at Content London. It was picked up for Development by Paramount+ Canada as announced at Banff World Media Festival 2023. The series is about two middle aged best friends - a werewolf and a vampire - on a road trip across Canada.
Previous projects include multiple award-winning short films and the internationally acclaimed and award-winning feature film THE TRACEY FRAGMENTS. The film starred Elliot Page and premiered opening night of the Berlin Film Festival winning the Manfred Salzgeber Prize for innovative filmmaking and the Atlantic Film Festival award for Best Canadian Feature Film.
